Live-In care

What is live-in care

Live-in care provides a reassuring alternative to residential care, enabling you to receive dedicated, personalised support while continuing to live in the comfort and familiarity of your own home.

A carefully matched Care Assistant lives with you in your home and is there to provide support throughout the day, based around your individual needs, preferences and routines. Our live-in care arrangements will usually operate on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off basis, with Care Assistants rotating to provide continuity of support.

Your care is guided by a person-centred care plan, developed with you and, where appropriate, your family. From personal care and medication support to preparing meals, companionship and everyday household tasks, your support is designed around what matters most to you.

Live-in care can help you maintain your independence, routines, relationships and connection to your local community, without having to leave the home you know and love.

Live-in care packages start from £1,100 per week, with the final cost dependent on your individual care and support requirements.

At ExperCare, our Care Assistants undergo a thorough recruitment and selection process, including appropriate background and pre-employment checks. You will also have regular contact with our management team, who will review your care and ensure that the support you receive continues to reflect your needs, wishes and choices. If your circumstances change, we can work with you to adapt your care accordingly.

ExperCare is registered and regulated by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), providing additional reassurance that our service is subject to independent regulation and inspection.

Ongoing live-in care

Our ongoing Live-In Care service is designed to support your wish to remain safely and independently in your own home, surrounded by the people, possessions and familiar routines that matter most to you.

Having a Care Assistant living in your home provides reassurance that support is close at hand throughout the day and night, in accordance with your agreed care plan. This can provide valuable peace of mind for both you and your family, knowing that you are not alone and have someone there to offer assistance when needed.

Our Live-In Care Assistants provide much more than practical care. They offer companionship, reassurance and encouragement, supporting you to maintain your independence and continue living life in the way you choose.

Remaining connected to your community is an important part of maintaining wellbeing and independence. Your Care Assistant can support you to attend appointments and commitments, enjoy hobbies and interests, visit friends and family, and take part in activities within your local community.

At ExperCare, our aim is simple: to provide the right support while helping you maintain your home, your independence and your way of life.

Respite Live-in care

Caring for a loved one is incredibly important, but looking after your own health and wellbeing matters too. Our Respite Live-In Care service provides temporary support when you need time away from your caring responsibilities, while allowing your loved one to remain safely and comfortably in their own home.

Whether you are going on holiday, recovering from illness, attending to other commitments or simply need a well-deserved break, an ExperCare Care Assistant can provide the support and companionship your loved one needs in your absence.

Respite care does not have to mean a temporary move into a care home. With ExperCare, your loved one can continue enjoying their familiar surroundings, routines and independence, while you have the reassurance that they are being supported by a trained and compassionate professional.

Our Respite Live-In Care is tailored to the individual and can include personal care, medication support, meal preparation, companionship, household tasks and support with everyday routines.

Respite Live-In Care is available for a minimum period of one week.

Reablement care

Returning home following an operation, hospital stay or period of illness can sometimes feel daunting. Our Reablement Live-In Care service provides short-term, personalised support to help you recover safely and comfortably in your own home.

A dedicated Care Assistant will be there to provide the right level of support while encouraging you to regain your confidence, independence and everyday living skills at a pace that is right for you.

Your support will be tailored around your individual needs and recovery goals. This may include assistance with personal care, medication, preparing meals, mobility, household tasks, attending appointments and gradually returning to your usual daily routines.

Where appropriate, we can work alongside your family and the health and social care professionals involved in your recovery to help provide a coordinated approach to your care.

Our aim is not to take over, but to support you to do as much as possible for yourself, helping you rebuild confidence and independence following a change in your health or circumstances.

Reablement Live-In Care can also provide reassurance to family members, knowing that someone is there to support you during those important first days and weeks back at home.

Reablement Live-In Care is available for a minimum period of one week.
